Do any of your dear ladies know where I might obtain an image of Our Lady of Altagracia? It could be as small as a holy card or something framed.
Thank you!

I found one here Alice. It is a little different than the images I have seen online but seems to be the only place I can find that sells them.

This request intrigued me so I've been looking a bit. Who would have thought it would be so difficult to find an image. Anyway I did find some beautiful tall jar candles with her image, but the frightening thing is that I've only found them at voodoo/santeria websites in the south. I don't think you want to buy from them. I'm not even going to link them here. The thing is, since we know they make candles like that, why aren't they available at any Catholic stores? Obviously there is a distributor somewhere.
A thought I did have was to see if there are any Dominican grocers around your area. That might be the most likely place to find something like that in the states.
I did also see that just last week a parish in the Milwaukee diocese was given a replica of the Virgin of Altagracia image. They had a special dedication and the press release said to come and receive your own copy of the image (I assume it was probably a holy card or small picture). I would bet if you contacted the diocese and/or parish, that they would have extras available or at least know where to get one. Here is the press release. It also says each family in that diocese in the Dominican Republic has an image in their home - they are out there.
We should also ask Natalia what would be the best course for finding one.

Today I was wondering if this is one of the reasons that this forum was dedicated on the feast of Our Lady of Altagracia. We can make a difference to our Heavenly Mother by venerating her image the way SHE wants it venerated.
Remind me
I want to put at least one image of Our Lady of Altagracia in my home and I will remember to pray for you all when I pass it.
I just turned my printer on now. (I'll go to Patron saints index)

I called the number on that press release and asked if they had images available for purchase. The nice woman on the phone said they don't sell them but they will happily send them, and they do accept donations. They have 8x10 and greeting card sizes (I don't know what quantity of each are available). Things got zooey here & I had to get off the phone in a hurry, so I only asked for one of each size (will happily share), but maybe we can ask for more for our group and send them a donation? I wasn't sure how many to ask for!

You are so good, Lissa! And that's very good news. Thanks for following up and calling. I would think that everyone could call on their own. This lady will wonder where the publicity is .

I just called the number on the press release and my image of Our Lady is on the way!
I've had a print out from the computer on the mantle. It has really helped me to remember you all, as a group, in prayer.

I just called and they're sending me a 5x7 and an 8x10 image. They should arrive by next week.

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee does still have various OL-Altagracia images available, if anyone is interested.
Same phone number that is listed above:
