Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been reading "My Other Self" by Clarence Enzo.

Today I got to the part about prayer.... about slowing down and trying not to race through the rosary. I especially enjoyed this line:

"My Other Self, there is no such word as 'WombJesus' ".

Reading that made me laugh How true...

LOL! Here it's "fruitothywomb" and "motheraGod". Jesus gets his own word, at the very least.

Oh Yes! I had to get my 7 year old to say the Hail Mary really slowly the other morning...because words were combining together! I can really relate to this!

That made me laugh too!

That meditation was such a great reminder to me because I rush through everything (always late with too much I'm trying to do). I end up griping at kids and rushing everyone else and on the inside I am not "at peace." When I slow down and do less it naturally sets a more prayerful, peaceful tone for myself and for everyone else. He gives me just enough hours to do what He wants, so why do I try to do more or get stressed when I can't? Sigh... it is still a daily battle. Think I need to go back and reread that passage! It's really a great little book.

This reminds me of my then 7 yr. old who prayed, "Blessed is the fruit of thy ROOM Jesus"

We had to practice that one very slowly.
