We have a nest of yellow jackets in our siding behind our outdoor Mary statue. We are having a heck of a time eradicating them.

I watch carefully to keep the kids away but the little ones love to hug 'Mama Mary'.

Yesterday I found the toddlers there. Yellow jackets were all over them and surrounding them. I got them out quickly but it can only be Our Blessed Mother's protection that they did not get even one sting.

It's still making me quake to think of how bad it could have been.

How beautiful!

We have gotten rid of yellow jackets several times by observing where their hole is (they live in a hole in the ground), then at night pouring boiling water down their hole. Non-toxic, simple, and effective.
