Does anyone have a favorite Real Food cookbook that has everyday type of recipes without 100 ingredients per recipe.?
I am so easily overwhelmed looking at book store shelves in the cook book section. Where to begin?
Just to note that we cook gluten free in my home out of necessity, so that if there is a gf/real food connection to the cook book - even better!

Oh, I would love to see some suggestions too! I would love to see some simple recipes with ingredients that are normally found in our house. We are really working towards a real food diet that is gluten free.

Love the recipes on Heavenly Homemakers. She has a new cookbook.

I just received my copy last week. I have been using her blog for over a year now and felt obligated to purchase her cookbook. I'm glad I did! It's real food and easy.
She has a gluten free Ebook on her site.
My favorite is Whole Foods for the Whole Family (can't link now) by, La Leche League.

I do have this book and really like it too. I wish it had pictures
Are the recipes similar to the other one you just bought?
I never heard of Heavenly Homemakers before this thread...

Stephanie, in my opinion, they're similar in the whole foods concept. HH has a lot of pictures! She uses coconut oil, which is something I try to do. I think it's a good compliment to WFWF.
You should check out her site. I found it when I was looking for a chicken and rice casserole without canned soup. It's a great comfort dish!

I can't say how much I love this cookbook
It is not gluten free, though some of the recipes, like the flourless chocolate cake, appear to be naturally gluten-free.
It is a muffin/bread/cookie/treats/savories type of cookbook, so not for cooking your main dinner.
But! It has real food recipes and, IMO, has a great recipe for just about any type of sweet treat you might want to make.
My two favorite recipes (so far) are the cinnamon sugar doughnut muffin (recipe for a baked cake doughnut) and the cornmeal buttermilk pancakes, which is the pancake recipe I have been waiting for all my life .
I use whole wheat flour in most of the recipes with no trouble- maybe other types of flour could also be substituted.
