I have mentioned how much I love my interchageable knitting needles from Knit Picks. With Christmas approaching KnitPicks.com has now placed there sets on sale. Check it out here!
This was one of the first companies to manufacture these sets, which is why I chose these. Now there are other companies that make interchangeable needle that are good too. With that being said, I still love mine and have no desire to get anything else. 
I just wanted to pass on the information......

I second Betsy's appreciation for Knit Pick's interchangable knitting needles. The sale is a nice opportunity to pick up some lovely needles. If you can't afford a full set I found this offer to be a really nice option with three different versions of interchangable needles, in sizes suitable for many projects. I find it difficult to decide between their nickle, acrylic or wood ~ for arthritic hands, the acrylic needles are lightweight and seem to cause less stress and strain ~ the nickle needles are great for sliding through difficult yarn or for visibilty with dark yarns ~ the wood needles are absolutely beautiful and a joy to use (my personal favorite)! I am requesting these for Christmas, although I'm sure the sale would be over.
Which kind do you have, Betsy? I don't really like the colorful wood. Sorry, that's just me. I'm leaning toward the nickle ones, as that what I tend to use in my regular knitting needles.

HI Jenn,
I do have the colorful Harmony Set. When I purchased them I though that the color would bother me, but it doesn't. The Sunstruck color is really new, and I would have probably leaned toward that when I got mine. But, like I said, i am really happy and wouldn't change what I have.
I personally like the wood needles. These aren't as "sticky" as bamboo needles, which I don't like. But, not as "slippery" as metal needles. Of coarse, the hard part about this is it's all personal preference. 
As for the sale, who knows....they may have a better sale on Black Friday?

Wow, what a nice set. I use Hiya Hiya metal interchangeables because I have such a tight tension but these needles look very nice.
Oh and that Sunstruck color is gorgeous!

Thanks for the heads up. I bought a starter set of 3 Knitter's Pride Dreamz at a yarn store a few weeks back and I'm really enjoying them. I'd like to get other sizes so I'll keep KnitPicks in mind (I really wanted these and obviously wasn't patient  )
I do have a question about circular needles. Is there a trick to keeping the needle screwed in? It might just be my amatuer knitting but they start to unscrew after a while.

Make sure you always use the special pin to tighten the ends, it makes a difference over hand tightening. Mine don't usually come loose when I tighten them this way. However, if it is happening often I might just remember to check before you start knitting.

I have the KP nickel set for a couple of years now and I've loved them.
My old (and not very good) Boye set came w/ a circular piece of rubber that you use to grasp the needle in one hand while using the key in the other, and using it makes all the difference. When I can't find the circle, I find a wide rubber band and hold the band up against the needle for more grip.
