Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have quite a collection of fossils, shells, rocks etc. and I'm wondering about a nicer way to display them esp. outside. We had some of our very large fossils in the garden and they got buried after the kids playing and moving around dirt and such!    Nothing like unearthing a previously found treasure.

Is there a nice, durable outdoor container you would recommend for keeping them on display? I like to keep them where the kids can see them, touch them, show them to friends etc. but I'd also like it to be appealing to the eye since they're usu. on our front or back porch.

Fishing tackle boxes come in various sizes with dividers that can be put in place to accomodate unique sizes. Clear plastic shoe boxes with lids work well, too, for larger rocks/fossil/specimens. Another way to organize might be to just purchase one, solid rubbermaid bin with lid and then save and recycle shoe boxes and various cardboard boxes with lids to contain specimens inside the larger bin.

If you use the large plastic bin approach, organize at least the smaller ones in egg cartons. That's what we use in the house...not outside storage, but...

My first thought was tackleboxes, but then you said bigger items outdoors.

I like the others' ideas!

I like the aquarium idea because I do think it would look nicest. Just wish I could find plastic although glass would be prettier. But with a 1 and 4 yr old not sure I want to risk leaving that out.

I might get a tacklebox just to keep the overflow as there's a LOT of overflow....
