Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So.. I've been getting to watch lots of food tv.. and most times the recipes are just plain WEIRD :giggle but some of the time there's some really good things. And I've come up with 3 that sound worth a try.

1) Dried Fruit Cookies

These are almost like mini fruit cakes but with the dried fruit they should taste so much better ;) Anyway of course my first thought was Christmas.. and I might make some (supervise child actually making) for gifts in addition to other things as well.. but then I also thought they might be fun at Thanksgiving.

2) Chocolate Pecan Cobbler

This my thought was definately Thanksgiving.. we usually have 3-4 types of pies.. and one is a chocolate pecan pie.. though I LOVE regular pecan pie.. I thought this would be a bit different and give us something a bit different than the chocolate pecan pie.

3)Melon Juice with Champagne

Now I went looking for something that combined cantelope and blueberries and this looks wonderful. I also want to experiment with substituting the champagne.. sparkling water, sprite, sparkling juice.. It would be a fun Cocktail/Mocktail for a fancy holiday brunch.

I would love to hear about something you're thinking of trying.. or even an old favorite that might be a bit different

mmmm I was just thinking a nice soft caramel recipe would be great..

You know the caramels that are in little squares and wrapped up.. you can buy them in a big bag.. are they brach's? carnation? something like that.. but they're chewy but not sticky..
