Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Gloomy day here. Had an empty cupboard (and fridge) so have fresh groceries to make a plan.

Tonight is Chicken Creole, made from chicken thighs (on sale).

Hahahahahaha.

We just got home from Book Club Bistro (potluck!) and I am stuffed. I have a feeling it will be soup or some other easy thing for dinner...

And our Italian bread came out wonderfully, even though I baked it in last night's thunderstorm. Note to self: Follow dh's notes in bread cookbook. They work.

Sausage Stew - very hearty on this rainy evening - with leftover rolls that I made on Sunday (can't believe we actually had leftovers of those!!).
Kids are at track meet now (in the rain) and I'm so glad I was able to sit this one out since dh was able to attend, and have dinner ready for when they get home.

Gosh, that sounds so good, Margot. What's your recipe?

Monday was our co-op day. I put some eye of round steak in the crock pot and red potatoes and corn on cob.
