What's for dinner this Thursday?
We'll be on the road, so probably Cracker Barrel for dinner.

Oh we love Cracker Barrel!!!
We're having grill steaks, mashed chive potatoes and peas.
(BTW yesterday's pulled pork was in my hubby's words "the best recipe ever!")

leftover roast chicken turned into some kind of soup i guess... maybe a caldo tlalpeno type -- chicken, chilies and avocados... and i have cabbage and shrimp and pork that i need to use up... maybe in a stir-fry.
we ate at cracker barrel last saturday! my favorite side is the hash brown casserole. yum!

Stef - I can't imagine avocados in soup. Tell us more....
For us it's barbecued chicken, corn, and asparagus. Oh, and ice cream (Safeway had Edy's brand on sale for $2.49!)
Peace,
Nancy

Home with a new baby, we're starting on on the big freezer stock: pasta with meat sauce tonight!

this is an excellent question.. I haven't a clue.. snacks? this evening is just really difficult going from one activity to another.. not always everyone but..
Maybe we can make up some quick breads or oatmeal bars which make great snacks.

Thursdays are our bad days, too. I have to act quickly if I'm to avoid the dreaded pizza delivery option (we like it, but it's expensive).
Off to forage...

I got out a big package of ground beef, so it's probably going to be hamburger steaks with rice & cream gravy & veggies.

Rice and mixed vegetables with eggs cooked in. I'm not sure what you call it. It's my husband's recipe (blessed is the wife of a man that can cook). My 16 month old attempted to eat his weight in it.

We ended up with crockpot macaroni and cheese, a family favorite.

Massive headache. Sadly, it's gonna have to be McDonald's tonight. Happy meals all around!
