We were in a store yesterday that had some cloth napkins that were so beautiful. They had the April Cornell name on them. They were a lovely blue with soft bits of greenery and small flowers. They were a much more delicate pattern than what I've typically seen with April Cornell. I was hoping to find a tablecloth with that print, but there weren't any. I've looked online, but can't find the same print.

Any recommendations on where to find some beautiful (yet inexpensive) tablecloths for spring?

that's on my wishlist too. I wish Greengate and Cath Kidston would have distributors here.

I've got two options for you:

1. make your own -- this was my original plan until I figured that with all the decluttering i'm already doing I probably wouldn't have time to sew until after Easter.... but I found some tablecloth-suitable material at fabric.com with smaller florals

2. found some a couple of weeks ago on boscovs.com and i ordered one. only thing is their shipping costs are higher than most; it made sense for me to order there though because i had a few other things in my basket.

Stef,

Thanks for these ideas - I'm going to check the site you've suggested. I've also thought about making one, but was hoping to save a little time if I could find an inexpensive one already made.

I love going to antique and thrift stores and check out the tablecloths. It takes some hunting, but I've found some very beautiful but inexpensive tablecloths.

My MIL made me some table runners and a smallish cloth out of regular cotton fabrics.. so a HUGE selection. I put down a plain table cloth and then add the squarish cloth at an angle over the other or use a table runner.. and that dresses things up without needing to find the pretty patterns in tablecloth fabric.

I'm about to sacrifice my green tablecloth to my co-op students' film project, it appears. It's all stained up, anyway, but...

So I'm already thinking ahead to next Christmas. I'm probably going to need a new holiday tablecloth!
