I'm needing to replace ours again.. Is there any out there that shouldn't be classified as "disposable"?

Didn't we have a discussion awhile back with some recommendations? Particularly addressing the ones so avoid for fire issues. We had a wonderful old metal one that lasted us through 22 years of marriage. We bought a mid-grade replacement (I'll have to check what it was) and it didn't last 6 months. We opted this time to just go for a nicer toaster as I wasn't prepared to pay the bigger bucks for a toaster oven I wasn't sure about. Still looking too.

Oh, what would I do without a toaster oven! We have a large Black & Decker that holds 6 pieces of bread at a time. It's lasted 9 years and is still holding up to daily use. I can't remember what we had before that, and I missed the thread about fires.
