Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We usually do it once a day. I have read that it not uneconomical or energy wasting if you have am Energy Star appliance. But I know we could run it more...

2x a day. Usually after lunch and I set it on a 2 hour delay before I head to bed.

Once a day. I do occasionally wash large, quick items by hand so that they won't take up much-needed space.

Once. I, too, wash big things by hand. The kids use the same cup all day.

Twice a day. After lunch, and again after the kids have gone to bed and stopped eating and drinking.

We run ours once a day but it is pretty packed so I think we're going to have to start doing it twice.

Once a day. Everyone is good about using the same glass as long as dish-obsessed Mom will let them (sometimes I just have to clean off the counter... ).

Also, I only run it when it is completely packed full.

Once a day.   I stuff it full before I run it. I usually wash pots and big things by hand.

Once a day for our large crew, but I hand wash the big things AND the dc keep the same cup all day. If I didn't make them, I would have to do just a load of cups!

This topic has me giggling. I will surely have to share with my husband, the dishwashing-machine habits of others. It seems to be a rather big deal to him that ours is run EVERY-OTHER day! Which, to him, seems in excess. I too, wash the large items by hand.

Just smiling to myself here, it's sort of an ongoing discussion around here (light-hearted of course); in a sort of serious way

Blessings,
Chris

We wash stuff by hand, and we use each one cup a day. We used to be a once a day family. Then we decided not to buy paper plates anymore. Now we are definitely a twice a day family, plus a significant amount of hand washing. I have no idea if it is more or less economical???

2x a day.
Pots, pans, big stuff by hand.

We try to do 1 cup. Even made placemat for the counter divided into 6 spaces with names, so we could keep track. Somedays, it actually works.
