Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

In one of the Christmas gift threads, someone had a great suggestion - plain wooden doll turnings. I know some people have painted them to look like saints.

Any suggestions for the least expensive place to buy these?

Thanks in advance.

Casey's Wood Supply has a very good selection, and each piece is sold individually, which is nice. The shipping costs are rather high, though (it looks like they are at the place Jennifer mentioned too--I guess there's no getting around that). I haven't figured out yet whether it's better to get them for the higher price at my local craft store (which doesn't have the selection that the online retailers have) or to pay for shipping.
