Tonight we are making pizza and salad for sure. There is a yummy looking recipe in the Farm Chicks cookbook for a creamy pesto pasta, I might make that too.

We're going to Wolf Trap and it's going to rain. I am taking a picnic of appetizers.
Don't know what my children will eat...
Last night we tried an orange/thyme crockpot chicken recipe from Saving Dinner. Definitely a keeper! I've made next week's menu plan around a few more recipes from that cookbook...trying to get out of my summer I-hate-cooking-in-90-degree-heat rut.

I love that cookbook, Nancy! I will have to check out that recipe.
Tonight we are having salmon (perhaps grilled), rice, and salad. My dc won't eat any fish except fish sticks and fish from the chippy. So they will have fish sticks and fries.

Nancy that sounds fun. I love picnics at Wolf Trap. If it rains, you can always head west and visit us.
Looks like a good show.

I haven't been to Wolf Trap in years...would love to be there!
I have no idea what's for dinner. The cupboard, freezer and fridge are completely bare. yikes.

Oh, yes...Great Big Sea is fantastic. Definitely worth braving the rain. We saw them there last year (with Eddie From Ohio, also good).

Kayleigh has chicken thighs marinating in the refrigerator. She's cooking when she gets off work. No idea what recipe she's using.

Dh just walked in and asked what's for dinner. "I have no idea."
Dh: Would you like me to make something? "Absolutely."
So, I still have no idea.....

I was just blessed by a beautiful friend who brought me dinner. I think her guardian angel and mine must be close. She always comes through when I need her!
We just enjoyed a delicious meal of eggplant lasagna, with salad and bread! Yum!
