Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. I'm potty training my daughter and my poor couch and area rug are bearing the brunt of this.
I can't find a green cleaner that works on upholstery and rugs and both gets out the smell and doesn't leave a ringed darker patch/stain.
There has to be a non-chemical cleaner that does both, right?
Any recommendations? Thanks!

If you have a shop vac I can tell you what I would do. Scrub the spots with a really soapy sponge. Rinse thoroughly- I'd use a cup. Use the shop vac to extract all the dirty water- you may have to repeat more than once. YOu could do the same thing with a cleaner made for removing pet stains, but dishsoap works great for me.(I LOVE mrs. meyers lemon verena scent) Put a fan in the room to aid the drying process.
Good luck- McChatty

I have always sprayed a mixture of white vinegar and water (mostly white vinegar) on upholstery and carpets when needed. It gets rid of odors and it also works as a neutralizer. When it is first sprayed, it smells like vinegar, but the vinegar smell goes away quickly.

I blot up the area with a white rag towel, spray the vinegar and water mixture, and blot again with a clean white rag towel.
