Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hot dogs, french fries, baby carrots with ranch dressing. Dh and the twins have a baseball game tonight, dd will be at her drama class with MIL, so it's a quick simple dinner tonight.

Teriyaki Salmon with Ginger (a super easy staple Friday recipe!), oranges, brown rice, and something green, probably stir-fried Swiss chard. It's always great when someone starts these threads, since it forces me to actually think about dinner prior to 5 p.m.!

Caroline, can you share the recipe for the salmon, please? I'm always looking for ideas on presenting salmon filets.

I'm glad for the positive feedback on the threads. It is helpful in so many ways for me, also. I like having reminders to plan for dinner, and wonderful ideas for creativity and change to the Same-Old. Also, to me, it makes this forum more homey, a sit-at-the-table-with-a-cuppa sharing -- as close as you can get with online discussions.

I have to buy groceries this afternoon...I hope inspiration will strike.

Our cupboard is so bare that even the kitties don't have food!
