Tonight I think we are having Chik-fil-A at a high school lacrosse game. It is Opening Night for out club and they are going hog wild to celebrate our first season as a club.
I did hear rumblings of rain in the forecast in which case I'll make yesterdays chicken-tequila pasta, with the now defrosted chicken.
We are going out to lunch to celebrate dds' 14th birthday...... how did that happen?? I also need to figure out how to celebrate the Annunciation. Maybe we'll make some blueberry muffins for tomorrow morning.

We're doing our Great Depression unit cooking every Wednesday. Tonight it's Peppers and Eggs.
And a blueberry pie for the feast day.

Cay, I was very blessed by that video - thanks for sharing - I think we'll have peppers and eggs for lunch on Friday!
We are having chili with corn bread dumplings for dinner.

Today was not a good baking day for me. Waffles I tried to make for breakfast were burnt and raw. The muffins I tried to make for the feast were flat and hard.
Breakfast - since we couldn't eat the waffles Daddy picked up doughnuts on the way home from work which we ate with yogurt
Lunch - clam chowder, oranges and apples
Dinner - Chicken and wild rice with mushrooms, peas, and steamed cauliflower

We had spinach wraps filled with baby spinach, roasted red peppers, balsamic chicken and mozzerella cheese. We had raw carrots, cottage cheese and potato chips too.
