Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone have any good way of doing this? I have put this off for SO long, it's just

I've never successfully done a good job at cleaning then anyways so any tips would be welcomed!

Kacky - this is at the top of my to do list this Lent! I have Plantation Blinds (I think they have wider slats than mini-blinds), but I'm pretty sure the same method would work.

I take them out of the window on a sunny day and put them on the driveway. They get a good rinse with the hose and then the kids and I grab washcloths, warm soapy water and wipe them down thoroughly. Rinse again. Line dry. Obviously, this works best on a nice, sunny day...which I'm not having right now, so I'll be waiting a bit for the sun to return. But, you could do this in the bathtub if you had to!

I vacuum them throughout the year, but they seem to get so grimey somehow so I wash them like this each spring. I should probably do it in the fall, too.

You're suppose to clean them. Pretending I didn't hear that

When I had them I filled the tub with warm soapy water. Tossed one in. Let it sit for a few hours-maybe swish here and there. Might take a washcloth to it if it needed it. Remove, rinse, out to yard to dry. Might take a few days to do the whole house but it was pretty easy.

Great ideas...now if I can get the sun and warm air to cooperate with my cleaning plans...I'll be good! Thanks ladies!
