Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What's for lunch? What's for dinner?

My inbox says today we remember St. Dominic Savio. I know he's not on the Universal Calendar nor on the Liturgical because it is Lent, but he is a saint dear to so many homeschoolers.

I never plan lunches. It's the traditional sandwich or leftovers for us.

Dinner is crockpot pot roast, with potatoes, salad, veggies and French bread.

I have another running day of errands so I had to keep things really simple on my menu...

Dinner: Pasta Salad with black beans, corn, green peas and Italian vinaigrette.

Lunch: Bacon and cheese sandwiches

It's a busy day. Garlic Chicken, again, which will get used later as Garlic Chicken Pizza. My kids love it so it comes up on the rotation a lot! Baked potatoes (because they were looking at me this morning with a blank stare in their eyes) and some kind of veggie. Maybe a cucumber tomato salad.

Charlotte, have you shared these recipes yet? I was looking through the past messages and couldn't find it. Please share, or point me in the right direction!

"Pan" chicken (we are very creative around here when we name our favorite foods) and steamed frozen peas. Home late and running out to swim team practice in 30 minutes...

Well, so far we are having crockpot mac and cheese, except that my old faithful crockpot seems to have died. I have a second, larger one, so I hope it doesn't burn the dinner!
