I'm throwing a pork tenderloin into the crock-pot, later I'll pour some of this yummy bbq sauce (William & Mary grads will recognize it) over it and serve it on buns. Depending on how wiped out I am after the March for Life, I'll either roast some new potatoes or pull that big bag of tater tots out of the freezer and cook 'em up. I'll round it out with a salad and hopefully a green veggie of some sort, maybe peas.

Clueless right now. I have a prenatal at 4, boys have wrestling practice at 6 - I'd hate to grab something on the road but we may have to.

Red Beans and Rice (from my freezer from around Christmas), salad, and rolls. I was keeping it simple and a bit penitential today.

I can't tell you how many times this phrase gets used around here. Side dishes are not my forte!
We are celebrating my oldest's birthday today and he has requested pork ribs.

I found homemade chicken broth in my frig, so we're having "Winter Minestrone Soup", a recipe cut out from one of those newspaper inserts I otherwise ignore. I'll have to stop at the store for a bag of kale, but I can do that on the way home from the school run. Starting it now, putting in the crockpot so I can focus on the late afternoon routine. Thank God for crockpots.
Review: soup was a dud, not worth posting the recipe. Son gave it a 3/5, which is the worst rating he's given any food so far.

Well, Tuesday Night's chicken soup ended up being a Roasted (in the crockpot) Chicken with potatoes and carrots instead, so tonight I'll take the boned out leftovers and make soup!
With potatoes, carrots and onions in there, do you think some thinly sliced spinach would be good or gross? I have half a bag that needs to be used up - if it is still good, that is...

I just put a soup in the crockpot. I put 2 frozen chicken breasts, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of tomato sauce, a can of tomato paste, some frozen corn, frozen green beans, frozen carrots, frozen spinach, 4tsp (I think)of chicken boullion, 6 cups of water, about 1/2 cup of italian dressing, some flax meal (because I can ), and some salt and pepper. I made up this soup a while back and all my family liked it so we decided it was a keeper. I call it "Mama's soup"
When we eat it my dh and I put sour cream in it...yum!
We are going to Mass tonight and to a Pro-life Rosary after so we needed something to be already done when we get home.

You might want to put the spinach (fresh) in bottom of the bowl before you serve up the soup. The heat will wilt it enough, and if you do a test bowl, you won't risk the whole batch if you don't like it.

Pasta with pink sauce (red marinara sauce with some cream stirred in - kids love it), green salad, bread. Thursdays are our busiest night and we usually eat very simple meals on this day.

I forgot to put the pork in before I left. So we stopped on the way home and bought a jar of spaghetti sauce. What a day, I'm having a glass of wine.
