I feel like making cookies today (cooking math, y'know ) but none of my recipes are inspiring ...
So, what would you make today? It's kind of rainy and mucky out ...

My go-to comfort cookie for cold/mucky times would be ginger snaps - though ours are more of soft ginger (I don't cook them as long as the recipe says).

On cold, icky, rainy days I love simple sugar cookies with a nice cup of homemade spiced tea. Add a favorite read aloud and you've nailed my favorite winter afternoon! Bliss!
Now, if only I had a cheery woodstove in my kitchen it would be perfect, Mary!
Peanut butter cookies are fun and easy, too!

I have NOT made these, but someone had this recipe linked to their blog... I don't remember who it was now! Anyway, it looks yummy! Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies.

THANKS Mary M and Mary G!!!
I'll be baking these tomorrow when we are going to have the cold rains. It'll really brighten our day. I was dreading the yucky weather, but now I'm actually looking forward to it
Off to enjoy the good weather while I can...
Christine

I'm actually feeling good for the frist time in a long time tonight...and cooking for my boys. It's cool here tonight, and I'm making mini meatballs in BBQ sauce (one of the many bagged and boxed items getting through the first trimester), corn on the cob, and cheddar biscuits...and we're going to have Mary M's Ginger Bends with hot chocolate for dessert...it's so nice to feel human.
