Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone share some fun Halloween recipes? I have already gone to Family Fun and found some good stuff, just didn't know if anyone has any tried and true they could share.

Two of our favorites from Family Fun that we make almost every year are Hotdog Mummys and Skeleton Cudite. Unfortunately no pictures or detailed instructions are coming up on the family Fun site for the crudite. I'll have to see if I can scan the picture from the magazine tomorrow. There are clearer directions for it at Food Network. I first saw this and made it for a party when my 20 year old was in kindergarten - wow, where has the time gone.

Last year for our Dia de los Muertos celebration we made their Dancing Skeleton Cupcakes. Very easy and they were so cute!

And here is J. with the mummy hotdogs last year.
