Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're going to make jewelery out of pasta. One craft book suggested painting the macaroni and then sealing it with clear nail polish. While I plan to let the kids do that some, I was looking for a faster and less messy way to do a large amount.

I don't know if there is anyway to use food coloring. I guess soaking would be out since that would probably mush out the pasta. Just looking for any ideas or experience.

a long time ago, far far away, I remember painting macaroni for dd18 to make jewelry. We put it in plastic bags with food color - and then we dried it, before using it. We just put it outside in the Arizona sun, but I bet a low oven would work too.

I have colored rice for projects by using food coloring and rubbing alchol (maybe to seal the color???) Worked great. I just put the rice, alcohol, and food coloring in a plastic bag, shook it all up, layed out to dry on wax paper...I'm guessing it could work the same with pasta.

I have successfully used food coloring and rubbing alcohol to color pasta doing what Marcia did. The rubbing alcohol dries faster than water.
