What are your favorite calzone fillings?
On my list to try are:
meatballs & mozzarella
pepperoni & cheese
chicken, broccolit & swiss
Any other yummy ideas?

Hmmm... I've put ham & cheese or tuna and swiss cheese in ours before. I don't know what meat I have for tonight, but I know I've got cheese!
Thanks for inspiring my dinner for tonight!

Spinach, feta, and sundried tomatoes...taco-seasoned ground meat, cheddar cheese, and salsa...chicken, mixed veggies, and cream of chicken soup (like a personal pot pie), scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese (omelet-style)...chili and cheese...And if you don't have time to whip up calzone dough, just lay out crescent roll dough with the wide pieces together in two rows, place filling in center, wrap points over top, and bake to make a braided version.

These posts are making me hungry. The other day I took some pizza dough, rolled it out into a rectangle and covered the top with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. I rolled it up and sliced it into pinwheels and baked them. The kids went nuts for it. I can't wait to serve that again. It's always nice when they like something I make, which for one finicky eater here, is not too often!

ground beef, swiss cheese, mushrooms, and caramelized onion is my favorite...
Similar to calzones are Runzas, adding cabbage as a filler. I had to get used to it when I moved to NE, but I like them (homemade), now.
"A RunzaŽ Sandwich is a delicious blend of fresh ground beef, cabbage, onions and special spices all baked inside homemade bread.
* Original RunzaŽ Sandwich
* Cheese RunzaŽ Sandwich
* Swiss Cheese Mushroom RunzaŽ Sandwich
* Cheeseburger RunzaŽ Sandwich
* BBQ Bacon RunzaŽ Sandwich
* BLT RunzaŽ Sandwich "
There's some "flavor" ideas for you.
