Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have a favorite vendor they can recommend?
Thanks.

Viv -
I spent a long time looking for a nice metal breadbox!!! I actually wanted an enamel one, and the ones sold here in the states are...um...pretty junky. They're not made here, I'm sure you can guess where they're imported from. So do be careful if you purchase an enamel bread box that the paint is safe since you'll be storing your bread right on it.

Wish I had time to link, but I ordered mine from our friends overseas in England. I went to England's Amazon or ebay (can't remember which.) It was just worth it to me to pay the overseas shipping to have a nice, basic enamel breadbox. They're is nothing fancy about it. It is cream, says "BREAD" on it, is a long oval shape and fits the loaf that comes out of my Zojirushi perfectly!!!

Good luck finding something. If you're not looking for enamel, stainless might be a good option, I just didn't have the counter space for a large box. But I do remember seeing some nice ones when I was looking.

Thank you Jennifer.
I am not looking for a counter top bread box but one to store the bread in in the cabinet. I do not want to store in a rubbermaid container(trying to avoid yet another plastic container which I will melt a hole in the lid or something like that) or a plastic bag which if you are not careful leaves lots of crumbs on the shelf.

I'd check out http://www.lehmans.com they're not the cheapest place but they carry some good products.. and once you know perhaps a maker you can do a web search for other places that might sell it cheaper or look on ebay or such.

I can't recommend this as I don't own it, but I was moved to Google it because your request made me think of the metal breadbox that was in my childhood home.

Here's Target's version.

I have one that looks similar to Target's. I got it at IKEA.
