Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm on the alert for homemaking curricula for girls.

Future Christian Homemakers' Handbook

The Hidden Art of Homemaking (please pray that I find my lost copy)

Training our Daughters to be Keepers at Home

Managers of their Home

Keepers at Home (this is the one our Girls' Club is using)

And I have no doubt there are lots of great homemaking links out there too.

Please share!

There's the whole Mary Frances series:

This one (Easy Steps in Housekeeping) is free of copyright now, and is on the Google reader-thingy.

There's also titles on cooking, knitting, sewing, and first aid, I believe.

Oh Cay, the Mary Frances books would be so fun cuz they're so "living book" .... I'd also suggest Alice Cantrell's books -- we love the Sewing with St. Anne and we got her Tea one for Maggie's bday and that is wonderful and covers much of the hospitality aspect of it all ....

And, of course the Anne of Green Gable series is a great way of showing how NOT to do home ec!
