Here's a quick and thick sox pattern I posted on my blog and a sock tutorial I wrote to help you thru the process. This came up on a Mother Nurture thread about warm socks and I facetiously suggested to Irene to knit warm socks for the family! This pattern that I designed makes a very cozy pair of sox very quickly!

Thanks, Mary! I just took a quick look and it all looks like a foreign language to me. But heck, I am teaching myself a foreign language this year, so I should be able to handle this too, right?!

Irene -- please email if you have any questions or don't understand a term -- I've been knitting for almost 40 years and forget that everyone doesn't speak knittish

Thanks, Mary! I'll talk to Mary Chris, who knows a lot more about knitting than I do, and let you know if I need more interpretation for your "knittish."
