Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Today I think we are going to work on the cute St. Nick figures made from terra cotta pots on the St. Nicholas center site, and maybe the saint spoons.

We also will start a little Nativity set using terra cotta pots I saw in Family Fun magazine.

Now I'm off to start math so we can work on these this afternoon.

We are making some Elf Shoes, courtesy of Allsorts. We also decoupaged some ornaments and papier mache boxes to give away. (Or not. You know kids and crafts.)

Today we are coloring some Arctic animals, in celebration of Jan Brett's newest book and her birthday (hat tip: Elizabeth).

This is a wild week at our house (why do we have THREE Boy Scout meetings the week we had TWO Scout service projects?), so we may go light on St. Nicholas crafts this year and focus on other Advent saints.

We hope to go to Immaculate Conception Mass at the Basilica in DC...hopefully that will be an inspiring outing!

Since we're quarantined, my dining room table has looked life Craft Central.

I made a liturgical and solar calendar (via Moira's albums) to introduce the liturgical year. Now we're making (actually "we" is mostly me due to sicknesses) Isaiah, Michah, Mary, Angel Gabriel and Elizabeth figures for her Advent atrium procession.

Then on Thursday we're planning to make St. Nicholas out of paper towel rolls, cardboard, pipe cleaners and white styrofoam packing stuff that we just got! (And...if that's not "we" -- "we" won't be making them.

And *I'm* (this one really is just me) making felt appllique stockings for my youngest two -- I have a feeling that I'll only be able to finish one.

I vowed that I'm not going back to the craft store to get more supplies since we have so much here... so don't tempt me too much!!

And Joann -- I love the Jesse tree!! We couldn't get our dead branch yesterday due to rain -- so we're going to try today!

Joann, that is just BEAUTIFUL!!! Tell your dd she did a fabulous job!

So many crafts, so little time! I printed off everything I wanted to do for Saint Nicholas and even that was too much!

Today we did read Night Before Christmas by Jan Brett and did a few little fun crafts, if you'd like to check out my blog, I posted about it there cause we had such a fun and simple morning! :)

I love reading about what everyone else is doing, too!

My daughter and I are busy knitting. The boys have been playing lots of lego- so, not really whole family crafts going on here!

We did make alot of the hangings for our Jesse tree. My camera is on the outs otherwise I would post a picture- they turned out so beautifully. We used drawings and paintings the kids had done and glued them in gold 'canning rings'.

I am thinking of setting up my table loom for my 12yos to weave on, and my 7yos is going to try to knit a tea cosy!

We are trying to finish a Tet Dragon that we've been working on since last Chinese New Year. I figure if we put in the time now, it might be done by Feb. Not very Christmassy....
