Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just steamed my butternut squash in a pan in the oven. When I turned it over, it has white spots on the surface of the orange flesh...is this normal?

God love you!

Of course Angie! I have plenty!...if you stay for dinner we will be having a very veggie rich beef stew with spoon bread...
Did I mention that I love to cook?

Thanks so much!

I love butternut squash but have never steamed it before. I usually cube it and substitute it for half of the potatoes when I make mashed potatoes. I did find a very easy soup recipe this week that my kids liked.

I would love some of your butternut squash recipes!
