Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

One more question today .
What can you do for a well-loved doll's hair that has become frizzy? Is there any way to make it straight again? She looks like she has a static issue
Thanks!

God bless,
Christine

What kind of doll? AG dolls can go back to the "hospital" and have a new head put on (believe me, it's been done and done well!)

It's the Glory of America doll from EcceHomo Press
Maybe I should contact them and ask if they have a doll hospital. Thanks for the suggestion.

Does anyone have any "at-home" cures?

God bless,
Christine

Here are some links - do these things at your own risk! We have some AG knock-off dolls with horrible hair and all I've done is use detangler and give them a haircut - which didn't work all that well.

Just Magic doll hair care tips

Hope something in here works - if it does, let me know and we'll try it too!

My oldest daughter had a treasured doll who had a bad hair year. We tried everything, from washing it with Windex to rinsing it in fabric softener. Nothing worked! It was a Springfield Doll (American Girl knockoff) and I think it was made with really cheap hair. So, since my daughter wouldn't hear of just getting a new one and I know I couldn't have replaced the head without her knowing it (too many well-loved marks that would be missed), we shaved her bald and bought a dolly wig. Glued it on with hot glue and she looked great! Bonus... the wig hair was much better quality than the original hair and only cost about $10. The only down side, we couldn't find an exact hair color match, so "Helen" went from being a mousy blond to a strawberry blond literally overnight.

Just do a google search for "doll wig" and you should be able to find someone who can tell you how to measure the head if this is the direction you decide to go.
