Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I sewed a Thomas the Tank fleece shirt for Luke today. It came out real cute. I posted about it on my blog.

I used Butterick 6362 and it is real quick and easy for the upcoming cold weather sewing.

Joann that's great! My 3 yr. old little guy loves Thomas too. Where did you get the fleece? JAF?

Fleece is often in the remnant bins -- and since it doesn't have to be "finished", you can often squeeze quite a bit out of a remnant. We went the other day to Joann's and picked up about 1/2 dozen pieces (that all, interestingly enough are from the same color family) and I'm going to have the kids make easy scarves, mittens for Xmas gifts .... relatively easy to sew and after last winter we just can't have too many mittens!

Cute, Joann!

And Mary, great idea - last year for my one of the girls' birthdays, we made fleece scarves as the party favor!
