Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How to make a tiered (peasant) skirt

I found this online today. I'm going to make one in all one fabric, I think.

Another option is this idea which I saw somewhere:
Have three tiers total. Top and bottom are same fabric. Middle tier is a second fabric. Now, on top of each seam, sew a 2" wide band of a third, coordinating fabric.

Now if I could just choose three fabrics that look good together...

Photo of the banded tiered skirt

Once you click on this, scroll down to see photos of some banded tiered skirts. I thought these could be cute in other fabrics, too.

These are cute - I really like the look of the one that has top and bottom the same, with a middle fabric and a third color for the band.
