Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of a good remedy (or source for finding one) for tree allergies? Specifically cedar and maple? This warm winter has my van covered in yellow and my poor dh and middle dd sneezing and hacking like its Spring!

Thanks!

I don't know about homeopathic remedies but vitamin C has a large impact on allergies. The body uses up vitamin C during an allergy attack.. even pulling it from the bones.. the lower the vitamin C, the worse the reaction. Increasing vit. C can decrease the reaction. I found I am able to control my summer hay fever just with vitamin C.

Nettles (stinging nettle) also are supposed to help with allergies.. you can get it in capsules or as a tea.

I didn't know that! Thank you for passing it along. I absolutely cringe at the thought of OTCs for this; they never seem to do any long term good.

Allium cepia (red onion) is a good place to start when treating any outdoor allergies that result in sneezing, runny eyes, itchy throat, etc.

ETA: I also get a lot of relief from Shaklee Alfalfa tablets (about 20 or so when allergies are strong) and the already mentioned Vitamin C plus a lot of water.

Thank you, Rebecca. I'll mention these to my dh and definitely help dd with many, too. I cannot believe how yellow everything is right now!
