Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have colds. Yuck. I have found that loose herbs brew well in the electric percolator coffee pot. My kids will drink herb tea. Easy.

Which herbs build immunity and which ones fight a virus once you have it?

You'll want the elderberry cordial really... that's the best all round herb.
Also good are rose hips... lots of vitamin C, slippery elm is good for sore throats.
Echinacea is the immune booster you hear most about, but is not so good once your cold starts in... you kind of have to catch it BEFORE!
You can also try chamomile tea, honey and lemon, ginger tea and garlic. Honey and lemon will soothe the throat (though a salt gargle is best) and a cough. Chamomile tea will keep you warm and help you sleep (the BEST cold remedy), ginger and garlic are immune boosters.
I highly recommend something like Vicks vapo rub for stuffy noses, and HOT/SPICY foods are best for congestion.
More than you asked for, but my best advice HTH
