I searched the archives and found no posts regarding this?!? You would think that with all the accumulated pregnancies on this board it would have come up  . I'm 11 wks 4 days with number 6 and we realized yesterday when my OB had a problem finding the heartbeat that I have developed a tilted uterus.
This is new for me, but considering this is my 6th pregnancy and my age, isn't that unusual. He said it should right itself and my search online said this happens usually around wk 10 to 12. The only problem so far are urinary (bladder infection and other issues) but I guess if it doesn't right itself it can cause miscarriage, although that is very rare.
Has anyone dealt with this? Did it cause any problems during or after pregnancy? I'm really more concerned with whether is will cause any problems after pregnancy.

I've had it for several pregnancies. It's a nonissue issue kind of thing. Very normal. Now my tilted cervix sucks because it contributes to back labor, but that's not related the tilted uterus.

Mine has always been tilted. The only problem it really causes is it makes it difficult for the doctor to check to see how dilated you are when you're in labor. Until you transition and efface fully, your cervix is a little harder to reach just because it's tilted...or maybe not harder...just more uncomfortable for YOU as it is reached.
But, it's never caused any issues with any of my pregnancies. My uterus has remained tilted even after pregnancy - it never "rights itself." It's never been a problem. I know I've had this since my first baby at least.

Thanks ladies!! Back labor and checking during labor won't be a problem since I'll be having a c-section  . I would love back labor since the thought of another c-section gives me a panic attack!
The only problem I'm having is that after laying down for a few hours at night I have a lot of bladder pressure, then when I get up it takes a while to actually go. Nothing horrible, just irritating.
Now I need to ask about dealing with multiple c-sections. This will be my third and I'm not happy about it! But I know ladies that have had 6+ so it can be done, I just don't like the process. I think it's worse because I know what the other was is like and it's much better. Number 4 was a not great VBAC so I didn't risk it with #5 (which was a very good thing) and won't now either.

Try adjusting your sleeping position with pillows or foam wedges to keep from sleeping in such a way it causes problems. During later pregnancy I find sleeping on my side but tilted toward my front so that my tummy lays on the bed gives me the most relief from the weight of the pregnancy.
I have friends who've had multiple c-sections. You don't get used to it. It's never liked. It's always only accepted and tolerated for the means to the end.
As far as the panic attack about it. I've only had one c-section which hits all my panic buttons.. the only thing I found that really helped was not thinking about it. Pray about it but then stop thinking about it. ("rinse and repeat") Use the same relaxation techniques as for labor (breathe, relax, pray) count the dots on the ceiling.. recite nursery rhymes.. whatever it takes to short circuit your mind from going over what's going on (or will be going on)

This me exactly! While you may not get checked during labor, it is nice to be aware of if they check you at a Dr's visit during pregnancy, so you can know why it may be a bit more uncomfortable, why it may take a bit to get the speculum in just right, etc. Praying for you for peace, and quick healing after your c-section!
