Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't know anything about this, but my husband thinks this is what one of his soccer buddies uses. He has stopped using it while playing soccer because he doesn't want his wife to make him workout more than he already does!

Let me know what you think of it and if it really helps, please.

My husband has been using one for over a month and really likes it. He finds it helps to keep him moving more. Sometimes after dinner he will go up and down the stairs holding the baby while I do dishes, just to rack up a few more flights of stairs and steps!   . The website that tracks the info is quite useful as well, especially if you are the type that likes charts, graphs, and tracking data. (I definitely am!)

He's trying to convince me that I should get one to replace my fairly basic $20 pedometer but I am not sure if if I want to spend my Christmas money on it. I could buy a fair amount of books and yarn with that $100!

I actually have his fitbit in my pocket right now and it seems to work far better than my pedometer. It registers 5137 steps and my basic pedometer only 3168. The fitbit seems to register the around the house sort of steps a lot better.

I hope that helps, I would be happy to answer any questions!

I'm with you MommyMahung, I want to know!

Amber, thanks SO much for sharing. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm pretty faithful at wearing a pedometer so am considering this as an upgrade...to keep me motivated to reach 10,000 steps daily. It's silly but, I *really* want each step to be counted!

Love,

I know exactly what you mean, Angie! I ended up having about 5000 more steps with the fitbit than with my old pedometer on Saturday. It makes me feel better - I never hit 10000 with my current one, even if I took a walk and was on my feet moving around all day. I was beginning to wonder if it was even possible!

The fitbit was $87 on Amazon over the weekend but now it is back up to $100 as of a few minutes ago. Grr! Their pricing drives me mad sometimes. And I was just this close to getting one.

Looks interesting. One reviewer said it recorded steps while he was driving, so maybe it's a bit too sensitive to movement? You might get an overinflated step count, but I don't own one so I'm just speculating.
