Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

*****may be TMI*****

I am usually pretty regular, except when my cycle returns after a baby. Takes a few months to get regular. My last one lasted 7 days, completely abnormal - usually they are only 3 days. Then, I started bleeding 2 weeks afterwards. It's been 5 days and is showing no signs of letting up.

Is there something I should be concerned about or just wait it out? How long should I wait it out for?

TIA!

use regular bleeding after pregnancy etc rules.. one pad an hour for more than one hour is an emergency.. more than that don't wait for several hours.

depending on your age it may be a sign of perimenopause.. but may also be hormonally related without necessarily being menopause

Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition by Marilyn Shannon has good info.

Off hand I believe vitex/chaste berry is one of the herbs that can help regulate your cycles more than just red raspberry leaf, though that will help as well.

Plus you'll want to be very careful to watch for anemia.. it's so easy to fall into that with excessive bleeding.. keep giving your body what it needs to replace lost blood.. foods high in iron and vit. C and keep up with B vitamins as well.. oh and sea salt has lots of the minerals you need to replace the fluids as well.
