I did a "no-no" and coloured my hair too soon after just having coloured it (within a week from the first time). My hairdresser explained "Clairol" has metalic in its ingredients, but does not list it. And mixed with the colour I had on before, then having it coloured AGAIN a few weeks later..lost alot of hair because of it
(Yes, that was 3 colours in, oh about 5 weeks!)
Now my thick hair is thin hair
I feel silly to ask, but does anyone have any advice about getting my thin hair thicker? ~ Apart from not colouring it for awhile I do not want to use silicea (not comfortable with homepathic remedies). However, I am open to anything else!

Thank you Jodie
My hairdresser also suggested vitamin b's.

Oh dear! What about horsetail? That naturally contains the mineral silica which is great for bones, teeth, nails and hair. And, I just found this link...I think you'll find something useful from it!
How to thicken hair with herbs

You should probably be able to locate the individual herbs at a bulk herb store, and create your own rinse. I think you do that simply by making a strong tea/infusion - making sure to use a tea ball so the herbs don't go down the drain when you rinse your hair. Good luck!!

I have to admit that I don't know the validity or basis for this old wives remedy, but I remember as a kid my mom did something similar to herself. She would use a combination of mayonaisse and avocado "goop" on her scalp about once a week. Her hair is fine now, very thick .
