I just got off the phone with a friend who said she woke up to find some bleeding. She's gone to the doctor, they've done some tests, and things are just unknown right now. Does anyone have any advice about what to do to prevent a possible miscarriage?
Thank you so much!

early miscarriage I've heard can sometimes be prevented with prescription progesterone if that's low.
I've also heard that red raspberry leaf tea will help the uterus work better.. so if the pregnancy is "viable" it could help stop the bleeding but if not it may help the miscarriage go smoother..
And lots of women have some bleeding with pregnancy that go on to term. Cramping along with the bleeding would be a much less hopeful sign.

I'm a bleeder - I have bled through the first trimester, sometimes even second, in many of my pregnancies. I bled daily up until about 11 weeks with this pregnancy, and I am now 34 weeks. I have also suffered many losses that involved a lot of sporadic spotting. It is so hard to tell. My issue seems to be a clotting disorder. She may want to really put her feet up - no intimacy, heavy lifting (no more than a gallon of milk) and strictly limit the time on her feet. If it's a clot, this will really help prevent it from bleeding out and possibly taking the pregnancy along with it.

Thank you for the advice and the prayers, greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, she lost her baby last night.
