I'm expecting baby no 2 and a few months befor getting pregnant I made some changes to my diet based on what I learnt from Weston Price. My concerns are mainly about eating liver and cod liver oil due to high levels of vitamin A which are not recommended during pregnancy according to mainstream advice. I have read that the research is not conclusive and the main concern is actually synthetic vitamin A. I believe healthy traditional cultures ate more vitamin A than us.
I was wondering if anyone has made similar changes to this and perhaps seen benefits to their children born after. eg. no crooked teeth, healthier in general etc...
Any thoughts?

I took 1/2 tsp of raw, fermented cod liver oil through most of my pregnancy and my little guy (3 weeks old today ) had no ill effects. In fact, he was my biggest baby ( 7 lbs 14 oz) and the only one who hasn't been crazy with the spit-up. I don't know if that had anything to do with the cod liver oil, but he's the ONLY baby out of 7 I've had who doesn't spit up much and also the ONLY one I took cod liver oil with.

I was worried about the vitamin A thing, too, so I just took around the recommended dose for an adult and I made sure none of my other supplements contained synthetic vitamin A. I did take more Omega-3 fish oil in addition to the cod liver oil to bump up the EPA/DHA levels, though.

Congraulations on the new baby. That sounds encouraging as my 1st baby used to spit-up a lot. I also take the raw fermented CLO.
