Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this with positive results?
It says it "supports female systems...made with Raspberry Leaf...supports healthy menstruation, purify blood and strengthen uterus..."

I picked up a box the other day. I have been looking for something that may help me - in addition to diet and exercise. I have painful, heavy periods with some mid-cycle spotting. I have been dx with pcos and sub-clinical hypothyroidism. I just had my 6th miscarriage in December.

I know I sound like I am complaining. I guess I am a little bit. I know this little box of tea is not going to fix me, but I guess I just was hoping to get some relief by drinking it.

Anyone with any experience with this tea or another like it or any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, I should mention that I do have Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition by Marilyn M. Shannon. Great book!

Evette,
I have used the tea with great results. It cleared up the mid-cycle spotting and helped lessen the bleeding and pain from my monthly cycles. Although, I grew tired of drinking so much tea that I ended up just buying Red Raspberry Leaf capsules and it continued to help.

Wishing you healing and peace!

My midwives also recommend red raspberry leaf tea during pregnancy and have a recipe for making it yourself from loose tea. This way, you can make a bunch and keep it cold in the fridge instead of a cup at a time hot (especially in the summer). The nettles will also help with your allergies.

I love adding rose hip for a tasty and pretty pinkish color. Its also a fun recipe for St. Therese's feast day or a Marian Day since you are actually making it from roses!

Here is my friend Amy's recipe which is better than the one my midwives hand out.

Basic Recipe:
1/3 cup Raspberry Leaves
1/3 cup Nettle Leaves

For variety add one or more :

1/8 to 1/4 cup Alfalfa
1/8 to 1/4 cup Chamomile
1/8 to 1/4 cup Dandelion
1/8 to 1/4 cup Hawthorn berries
1/8 to 1/4 cup Hibiscus
1/8 to 1/4 cup Red Clover
1/8 to 1/4 cup Rose hip
1 - 2 TBS Spearment

Directions : Place leaves in a half-gallon jar and fill to the top with almost boiling water. Cap tightly and let steep overnight. Strain out herbs and refrigerate the liquid until needed. The brew can be drunk freely, up to two quarts daily if desired.

I've used the female toner off and on for the last several years. I've really found the pattern that my monthly pain is actually worse in many ways when I've been drinking it, even though it does help to regulate things. I'm not sure what to make of the whole thing, other than I still have other issues going on that are not yet cleared??? I have other things going on so my experience with this tea is NOT indicative of its value.

It is very much worth a try to see if it works for you.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I started the tea this week. It has a pleasant taste. I guess I just have to wait to see if I notice any changes.

Lindsay, thanks for the recipe. I will give it a try when I finish this box of tea.
