Your comment about blueberries not raising blood sugar just makes me wonder if there are others. This is all pretty new to me, so forgive me if I just sound ignorant! I'm already noticing how different foods affect my symptoms, and it's discouraging that even "good for me" foods can have an effect.

So, is there anything else that doesn't raise blood sugar?

In general berries do not raise blood sugar in most people, though everyone is different so you have to sort of try things out.

The glycemic index is a good place to start but only as a guideline. Not everything that is low on the glycemic index won't raise your blood sugar and vice-versa.

Many places will tell you for instance that carrots raise blood sugar because they are so sweet but I can tell you that carrots do not raise my blood sugar and they do not raise the blood sugar of my diabetic children.

FWIW, soy also makes me nauseous.

Cream cheese doesn't raise blood sugar. I have become a cream cheese addict...
