Any one have any experince with acupuncture?
My doc has suggested it as alternative therapy for my fibromyalgia.

I cant/don't want to go on heavy pain drugs as a nursing mom but my pain has gotten to the limit of my ability to cope.

Being a mom of small kiddos is so HARD on the body!

My neighbor had sciatica pain that was successfully controlled with acupuncture. It took about 3 visits to start to feel relief, and it wasn't cured. He has to go in once in a while to get 'readjusted', but he feels that its worth it. HTH

ETA- He is pain free for about a season, so he goes back about 4 times a year.

I can't personally attest to pain relief with acupuncture, but I can say that I have a dear friend who uses it successfully, as well as my BIL, who has used both acupuncture and suction therapy (I'm sure there is a better term than suction, but I'm not sure what it is called) to rid himself of chronic back pain.

Also, as strange as it may sound to some of you, we used acupuncture on our oldest dog to cure him of chronically blocked saliva glands ... couple of visits (about 6 years ago), and free-flowing ever since!
