Thank You June T-Tapp Exercise Buddies!
To help motivate us and to invite new T-Tapp and other exercise buddies, I hope it will help to start fresh each month and set up our goals one month at a time! Who is in for the month of July and what are your goals for July?
I'm in because...I still don't quite have a regular exercise habit established. Plus, we're preparing to welcome more foster child/ren into our home which knocked me off of my exercise routine last time.
I want to do T-Tapp Basic Plus (15 minutes) Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday plus morning and evening Primary Back Stretch.
Love,

I was planning the same days to do T-Tapp Basic Plus and the Stomach exercise. I don't have an exercise routine established, either. Usually dh and I do something when the kids are in bed; he goes down to the treadmill and I do my exercise.
Yesterday we were out at night, and he's sick with a cold, so I didn't do T-Tapp, but I did some major cleaning and weeding, so that was physical exertion. I might need to change my days, since Wednesday is a typical night out.
Does Theresa recommend certain amount of days in a row?

And thanks, Angie, for doing this, and all you others for the motivation. Just 15 minutes, right?

I need to get back into this. It won't happen before Monday, but then...
I have 25 lbs to lose. My immediate goal is to drop one size and to not feel so stiff and sore.
I will start with a new 14 day bootcamp on Monday. Hold me to it, Ladies!

Me too! This week has been mostly miss for me. I've got lots to lose. But the up side is I'm stronger physically than I think I have been in years!
Yesterday I carried Brendan down to the garden and back up again without even breaking a sweat. Not a small feat! He's my 30lb sack of potatoes!

I just got the Basic Workout, but I am having two problems. One is that I can't seem to find a time to do it, especially since I need to follow the instructional tape to figure out how to do it. (My toddler still won't sleep without me right there. Not at night, or in the morning, or at naptime.)
My other problem is I'm so uncoordinated! I have a really hard time following along with what she's doing. But I really need to exercise; I need to lose about 30 pounds, but more importantly, I need to build strength and endurance and improve my energy levels.

I'm so excited! I'd like to do BWO+ 4 days a week. 2 days a week I will ride my exercise bike or walk.
I'd love to know what the stomach exercise is?
Angela, what about a video for the toddler? or maybe play pen time? It did take me a while of following the instructional video to get the hang of it. The instructional video is only 22 minutes. That's still not that much.
The hardest part is starting. It's downhill after the 3 or 4th day. I will say that I was pretty sore for a while when I first started back in January.
This is my second time starting and I'm on day 3 and I still pause the video every once in a while for a sip of water. It's better to do 4 reps with the best form possible than 8 without good form. Keep trying!

I am still working on getting up and walking on my knee but not exercising yet. The walking is going fine but I probably won't try exercising until next week. You gals keep plugging away!

I am going to join here because we're expecting in February and I'm going into this pregnancy 25 lbs overweight. I'm hoping to T-Tapp at least 4 times a week.

Congratulations on your expected little one!
I managed to exercise twice over this weekend. Pretty good for a holiday weekend. I'm not even going to think about the extra food consumed!

I'm not sure, Jenn. I know that once you've done a bootcamp she has you drop down to every other day (I think?) but I'm not sure...is it better to do the Basic Plus (15 mins.) daily? My schedule is based on my current limitations - both schedule and attitudinal .

It's Monday, ladies! Let's go!
(True confession...not only did I skip 4th of July (Saturday), I skipped Friday with these words spoken with much gusto to my dd late at night, "I'm not doing T-Tapp. I'm going to eat ice cream instead!" ...Well I sure did show them!...I mean me ...I mean ...I blew it
Lesson learned...T-Tapp isn't optional for me, not even on holidays if they fall on M,W,F,Sat. Yes I can carve out 15 minutes.
On a happier note...now that my posture is much improved (T-Tapp since August 08,) many of my shirts are too short in the front because my shoulders pull them up a few inches - yikes! So I purchased a few cute tops on sale this weekend that are extra long...motivation of a sort!

Good job getting started, Angel! Don't feel like you have to do the whole thing at once to begin with. Can you watch it for one move at a time when you are mothering? I'm pretty coordinated and have good balance, YET, I felt like a real clutz for for 2 weeks! Technically, since I didn't need to lose weight, I was only supposed to do the bootcamp for 4 days but I ended up doing it for 2 weeks because I just couldn't get myself coordinated! So hang in there, do what you can, and just keep doing it!

How wonderful, Leah! Charlotte, I'm impressed and glad to hear that you knee is on the mend.
I better be back later to report that I did my Monday T-Tapp!

I have done the primary back stretch the last two days, just standing in my kitchen. I have been babysitting and haven't had time to put the DVD in and do the whole BWO+. I am amazed at how stiff I am though. So, I am really starting from scratch. I tried a few hoe-downs, before getting interrupted and Ouch! I am out of shape!

I just saw this thread. I don't do T-Tapp but am happy to say our family just took serious walks two nights in a row for the first time in I don't know how long. I wore my almost-20-pounder in the Moby Wrap. Haven't calculated the distance, but they were each about 40 minutes long and the one tonight especially had that "exercise" feeling.
I don't know what my ideal weight is, but probably 30-35 pounds lighter than now.
Kinda OT, but it's sad that seeing the word "pounder" in the above paragraphs makes me hungry (reminds me of a quarter pounder ) I don't eat quarter pounders with any regularity but it is my eating habits that have caused a weight loss slowdown. The walks really need to be part of a whole lifestyle shift for me. The thought "Exercise is the last refuge of a glutton" occurred to me the other week... Yes I Googled it and was surprised to see no matches

Good Wednesday morning ladies! I am happy to report that I did 30 minutes of exercise yesterday even though it got very late and I just wanted to go to bed.
Theresa,
I am not T-Tapper either but Angie has generously opened this thread up to anyone looking for encouragement and support to help make some kind of exercise an important part of their everyday life. Glad to see you here!
So, even though I am proud that I exercised late last night, I really want to get back in the habit of doing it first thing in the morning so I am off to go get the blood pumping and will reward myself with a much needed shower after! Have a great day!

Fourth of July weekend was a total bust for me. I exercised last night. We're traveling this weekend I need to make sure I bring the video and use it!
Leah, congrats! I keep thinking I need to lose a lot before/if I get pregnant again. My feet can't handle any more extra weight.

Oh, I found out where the Tempo DVDs are located on the website. If you placed a previous order for the workout tapes and have an account, once you log in you can see the Tempo series.
