I have some natural progesterone cream that is older, and I am using it, but I am not sure if I am getting a full dose, due to some variances in my charts.

The exp date on the bottom is only half there, "EXP 2"--the rest is smeared. I KNOW I bought it in the fall of 06. I used it successfully last month.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Well, I looked at the stuff I bought to use after this runs out...and it says it expires in 6/09. Well considering I bought it in 4/08, well, this could be interesting...

I hope you get some answers. I know that they usually date expiration very conservatively -- in order to avoid liabilities for marginal cases.

However, if it's important to your cycles I would be tempted to be conservative myself and just use the newer stuff.

To take an example from my life -- I try to make sure my prenatal vitamins are inside the expiration date -- because of the folic acid connection to neural tube defects, so if I did get pregnant I would want to make sure I was covered.

Hope you get some answers that are more informed than this one

Well, I have PCOS, and have been trying to use NPC to regulate my cycles (I gave myself a withdrawal bleed in May by using it).

Now I'm trying to decide if I may have ovulated, but I'm not sure since I was using NPC at the time.

Given that I bought it in the fall of 06, and its summer 08 now..well, its almost 2 yrs old...I'm not sure how conservative is conservative...lol. And I'd like to know whether I ought to use one of my two remaining $Store tests in a couple of weeks.

If any of you ladies chart, and know something about it, I'd not mind pm'ing you my chart...

Well, it seems as though the older NPC is not working--or at least, not at levels high enough to affect my cycle. My chart shows a definite ovulation, and the timing should be "interesting". I'm almost out of this older stuff, and when I am (in a day or three) I'll start using the newer batch...
