Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone suggest a good eye cream for very dry sensitive flaking skin around eyes? With all the eye problems I have ended up with crows feet and wrinkly puffy eyes. I am doing iced water compresses on the eyes. But I need something to moisturize and heal the skin. I am officially entering the "40 club" in a few week - and I so do not want to have eyes which make me look much older I have stopped drinking water just before bed, cut down on my salt and sleep with my head elevated.

I don't have any particular difficulties with my skin but we're in a very dry climate and I need to use something or my face gets dry and itchy.. I only use water to clean it in the shower and immediately after use the basic Oil of Olay moisturizer.. mainly because it was the only simple moisturizer I could find rather than "night cream" or "disappearing wrinkle cream" or who knows what.. all the various descriptions were making my head spin trying to find what I wanted (a simple moisturizer).. I've also used aloe on my face.. it helps heal the skin.

Are you getting enough water before you cut yourself off? our bodies need the water.. edema (swelling) can often be from lack of water as our bodies try and hold onto what they get because we're not giving it enough.. when you drink enough consistently your body doesn't store it.

Also.. are you getting good oils in your diet? the omega fats? flax seed oil is a good source.. our skin needs our body to produce oils to protect the skin.. and getting the good fats helps the body do that.

I recommend Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Cream---it's the best for the buck I've tried.
