Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It doesn't look like I have edema, but my feet and hands really hurt, and I can feel that I have fluid build-up. My hands get numb so easily.

Besides elevating feet, drinking lots of fluids, and taking extra B6, is there any other practical advice to reduce swelling in pregnancy?

Putting your feet up!
To be perfectly honest, the most effective remedy for me was just to keep hydrated... you might try upping your intake of vegetables since they are also full of water.
Apart from that, all I can say is it will eventually go away .
Sorry I can't help more...

A lot of water Jenn, and try to make a conscious effort to move your hands and feet around a little. I know you're somewhat confined to the couch (?? at least I think I remember you saying this along the way) and when I spent a bit of time in the hospital earlier in the pregnancy, I began to swell in my hands and feet and it really hurt. The wise nurses reminded me that even though I was stuck there, I should frequently move my hands at the wrist and my feet too. It really helped my swelling a good bit. It also helped with circulation. I hope this helps you a bit. Prayers for your comfort!
