I think I'm developing pink eye. My eye has been bothering me since yesterday, very red and painful. It's not as oozy and crusty like a very bad case, but some tearing.
Any natural remedies for this? Of course, it's a weekend, so Sunday Mass won't be pretty.

Do you have any colostrum yet? I know it may sound whacky but really breastmilk is an incredible topical for eye infections.

There is a OTC remedy at the grocery stores. It has a big PINK EYE on it, and I have used it before. If it's not crusty yet, it is appropriate for this medicine.
I've bought it at Giant before.

A health food/ herbal store may carry and herbal eye wash that's good for it... or colloidal silver can work too.

We have used diluted apple cider vinegar rinse with success. I don't recall the details but think we just wiped the eye clean with the solution and let a soaked rag rest on the eyes.
Sorry, Jenn. Pink eye is such a pain.
Love,

Breast milk is the only remedy I know.

The OTC remedy recommended above helps with symptoms only, but it helps a lot. If your eyes are really oozy tomorrow, skip Mass. You don't want to pass this along.
There are two types of pinkeye, viral and bacterial. Only a trained medical professional, armed with microscope, can tell the two apart (so you can't fix this by tomorrow). Viral pinkeye just has to run its course. Bacterial pinkeye often goes away on its own, but sometimes needs eye drop-based antibiotics. If you go to your doctor, he'll likely give you the antibiotics in case you've got bacterial pinkeye, knowing that viral is out of his reach.
(Medical info above provided courtesy of Bethesda Naval Hospital on a day when ds and I both made Anakin Skywalker in I'm-Transforming-Into-Darth mode look positively normal.)
At any rate, pinkeye is highly contagious, so don't shake hands tomorrow. I'd suggest staying home if your eye is totally red or weepy. (We have a low stay-home threshold due to the large number of senior citizens in every parish we join.)
Sorry you're under the weather..
