Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone who wears compression hose for pregnancy have a favorite brand or style?

In the past, my favorite brand was Bauerfiend, but I can't find them anywhere. I just ordered some Sigvaris. They feel great on my legs but are very constricting around the waist!

It feels like I have to choose between not being able to stand because of my painful veins, or having to deal with a strangling feeling around my belly.

There must be a better solution.

Hi,

You can get the thigh highs, as an option. Also, I had the Medivan during pregnancy and the maternity ones are not constricting at the waist.

I like the Jobst brand too.

HTH,

I used both Jobst during my most recent pregnancy and Medivan. The Jobst only go up to compression strength 20-30 for maternity, while the mediven go up to 30-40 compression. I had luck buying them online at www.supportsockshop.com.

Prayers for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy.
