I seem to have woke up with a nasty head cold. My ears are plugged, my throat hurts, I have a headache. The kids are being really good to me today and allowing me to get lots of rest, I'm drinking some cold care tea with lemon and honey and that seems to help my throat a bit, but the real issue is my headache. I'm not too keen on taking any motrin since I'm approaching the third trimester. What do you all do when you are ill and pregnant? To top it all off, my husband and I facilitate our Splendor of Love study, and tonight is our first meeting in a longgg time, and I really need to be there. Ack!

My heart goes out to you. When I was pregnant with my third I got my first sinus infection ever (I suffered with it for three weeks before I knew what I had) and the worst bout of flu I have ever had. No fun!

My best natural remedy is hot pads! My husband swears buy them for his migraines. I made my own with flax seeds, but just about any thing works (rice, beans or seeds). I just pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and apply where needed. I am sure a plug in kind would work well too.

My second remedy is hot baths/showers...water is so miraculous.
